The safest helmet is the one that fits you best. At Iron City Motorcycles we want to make sure you are safe whenever you hit the open road.

The glues, resins and other materials used in the making of a helmet can lose their effectiveness over time and the lining starts to deteriorate. You can prolong your helmet if you store it properly. When you’re not using it simply keep it in a cool, dry place and store it inside the helmet bag in which it came in.

The outside of the helmet doesn't deteriorate, it's the inside foam and the fabric lining. Frequent use, sweating and greasy hair from different hair products are a few factors that can speed up the deterioration process. A way to combat this is using helmet liner or balaclavas. Check out ours here.
